# What are the travel insurance requirements for a Portuguese Visa

**This is one of the most important requirements of your relocation checklist for a Portuguese Visa, and it’s checked carefully during your visa application.**

**Your insurance must:**
* Be valid throughout the Schengen Area for at least 6 months starting your intended date of arrival
* Cover the entire duration of your stay or transit
* Include a minimum coverage of €30,000
* Cover:
