How do I upload my proof of identity for my NIE?

All you have to do is take your passport, click on "Upload document" and proceed to upload your document, following the instructions on the screen.

Applicants from EU countries can also use an identity card as proof of identity.

The quality of the proof of identity is crucial. We strongly recommend using a scanner to upload the passport.

A low-quality document (illegible, incomplete, or with glare) will be systematically rejected by the Spanish police authority, causing significant delays and requiring you to submit the application again.

⚠️ If you upload your ID via the software, the file must be in .png, .jpeg, or .jpg format only.

If you encounter an error when uploading your proof of identity, or if the software does not accept it even though you have done everything correctly, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@anchorless.io and send the document directly
