How can I verify that my certificate is properly associated with my browser?

CHROME


In the top left, go to ":”.



Go to “Settings”.



On your right, go to “Privacy and security”.



Go to “Security”.



Go to “Manage Certificate”.



On your right, go to “Your Certificates”.



Then click on “View imported certificates”.



Check if there are any certificates under your name.



All good! Your certificate is now linked to your browser. When you want to use it, a pop-up will appear asking you to select the certificate.


For example here: https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/wps/portal/sede/sede/Inicio



FIREFOX


In the top left corner, click on the “burger menu”.



Go to “Settings”.



On your right, go to “Privacy & Security”.



Scroll down to the “Security” section, then click on “View Certificates…”.



Click on the “Your Certificates” tab to find your digital certificate.



All good! Your certificate is now linked to your browser. When you want to use it, a pop-up will appear asking you to select the certificate.

What should I do if Firefox has remembered a certificate but I want to use a different one?

Follow the same process as above to access your certificate, but click on the 'Authentication Decisions' tab. Select the website for which you want to delete the automatic authentication:



SAFARI


Safari is directly linked to “Keychain Access”, so once the certificate appears there, Safari will show a pop-up when you need to use your certificate.




EDGE


At the top left, click on “:”



Go to “Settings”.



Go to “Privacy, search, and services”.



Go to “Security”.



Click on “Manage certificates”.



At the top right, go to “Your Certificates”.



Go to “View imported certificates from Windows”.



All good! Your certificate is now linked to your browser. When you want to use it, a pop-up will appear asking you to select the certificate.
